Stop merely surviving and work towards thriving.
My passion is working with adolescents, young adults and families, who have been wounded by trauma. Trauma can have an overwhelming impact of stress that exceeds one’s ability to cope, or integrate the emotions involved in their wounding. My clients seek guidance in coping with unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships and even physical symptoms. We work to gain insight into how trauma affects their emotional and physical well-being and strive to heal their pain.
Trauma’s isolating hold on the mind and body can make talking about one’s experience scary, uncomfortable and often impossible. When appropriate, I use specialized training in Clinical Art Therapy to provide additional avenues for the expression and depth work that healing from trauma requires. This process connects the mind and body and allows for expression, when words alone are unattainable or do not suffice. I interweave DBT, psychodynamic theory and depth work to meet clients where they’re at, provide experienced containment during strenuous treatment and guide them towards a greater life worth living.
