Understanding the Difference: Therapy vs. Coaching

While both services are rooted in a deep, compassionate understanding of trauma and the nervous system, they serve different structures, goals, and scopes of support:

Trauma Therapy

Psychotherapy (For California Residents Only):

Who it’s for: Designed for individuals seeking a clinical space to process and heal from complex trauma and PTSD, unpack repeated relational patterns, and deepen their connection to their body within a formal therapeutic framework. Madeleine tailors her treatment approach to each individual's unique needs, anchoring the work in a somatic approach supported by evidence-based strategies.

The Approach: Madeleine utilizes a comprehensive clinical toolkit—including Brainspotting, TF-CBT, DBT, TRM, and addiction-informed training—to address trauma, relational challenges and other clinical concerns within a formal diagnostic and therapeutic framework.

Trauma-Informed Life Coaching (Available to individuals in all 50 states and globally):

Who it’s for: Individuals looking to learn how to regulate their nervous system, work through major life transitions in an actionable way, stay accountable and become more effective in their daily lives.

The Approach: This work is deeply trauma-informed and can integrate powerful tools like Brainspotting, accountability check ins, body based skill building and is solution and goal oriented.

Note: Trauma informed life coaching with Madeleine does not assess, diagnose, or treat mental health disorders.
